Harley Davidson Police Motorcycles
Police Harleys. since I was a kid, Ive seen police on Harley-Davidson motorcycles . Not for all of the one hundred years that Harley-Davidson has been supplying motorcycles to police.in 1908 Harley started producing motorcycles for police departments and has been doing so ever since. Harleys are used in more than 3,400 police agencies in the U.S. alone. Today there are police on Harleys in 45 countries.
Steve St. Thomas, Director of Police and Fleet Sales, talked about the programs anniversary in a recent article in Enthusiast magazine. There are two mew programs for 2008 which include the FLHTP Police Electra Glide, FLHP Police Road King and the 883 Sportster. The FL models have pursuit lights, an air-suspended solo seat, a 103-cu-in. powertrain, oil coolers, optional ABS on Electra Glide and Road King and bead-retention tires. Harley is adding a new 100th anniversary decal to the front fender of the police motorcycles. They have also added a metal tank medallion and a 100th anniversary H-D police badge madallion on the front fender of the Peace Officer Special Edition models.
There are also the special edition Peace Office and Firefighter models available in the Electra Glide, Ultra Glide, Road King, Fat Boy and Heritage Classic. As long as there are Harley-Davidson motorcycles, there will probably be police riding them.

This story caught my eye. It tells of a coast-to-coast antique motorcycle race, the Motorcycle Cannonball Run, to start September 10, 2010 from Kitty Hawk, NC and end in Santa Monica, CA. Awalnya sekitar tahun 2004-an akhir karena melihat mesin stamper rusak di Proyek yang sedang saya kerjakan, setelah disuruh membongkar dan melihat bentuk mesinnya itu muncul ide " Hmm, mirip mesin motor tua nih "... mulailah iseng-iseng mendesign model bentuk motornya. Dan dapat kenalan di Jawa ( Bandung ) yang bisa merakitnya atau sudah sering membuat sepeda motor dengan model kuno ini ( yang sudah berpengalaman menggunakan mesin Stamper atau sejenisnya), kalau dibandung disebut Rountank.
Setelah nego sana sini, minta itu ini, dan kecocokan harga , dikirimlah model design dan mesin yang saya yang pertama inginkan ke dia berhubung kerjaan lagi repot-repotnya diproyek, jadi tidak bisa saya tangani sendiri huhuhu.
Setelah menunggu beberapa bulan (+/- 4 bulanan) untuk bikinan yang pertama, akhirnya jadi juga dan saya terima dengan selamat di rumah. Akhirnya setelah dicoba berkali-kali ternyata masih banyak kekurangannya terutama karena masih menggunakan Platina (hiks).
Setelah beberapa bulan kemudian; design ke dua dikirim (untuk proyek yang kedua ceritanya). Walaupun saya mengeluarkan kocek yang ternyata tidaklah murah, akan tetapi untuk suatu karya seni saya menghargai hasil kerjaan barudak-barudak Bandung yang memang kreatif sekali.
And Now i built it by my self again for my own ride, just waiting accomplished.
